until the Sixth Great Auckland Central Hero Debate (check
back in February 2009), you've been watching...
The Hero Debate is a hilarious rare opportunity to witness the quirks of political life in New Zealand that are usually hidden from public view. With oratory ranging from edgy to completely over-the-edge, the contestants slug it out to impress the judges and prove their intellectual prowess. This is one evening that is guaranteed to blow away your stereotypes about New Zealand politics.

The Hero Debate is produced by the New Zealand Labour Party as part of the Hero festival. In the spirit of the Hero festival, an HIV/AIDS charity benefits through a donation from the proceeds of the annual debate.

The Sixth Great Auckland Central Hero Debate will held in February 2009, probably on the evening of Monday 16 February (to be confirmed but diary the date).
